How each one works
A hair transplant is a surgical procedure: follicles from the donor area (usually the back of the head) are extracted and implanted into thinning zones. The result depends on donor-area quality and becomes fully visible in 9–12 months.

When a transplant is the better choice
A transplant can be right if your hair loss is limited and stabilized, you have a rich donor area, you accept surgery, and you have the patience for the final result. It is a “set and forget” solution for mild-to-moderate cases.
When a hair system is the better choice
A hair system clearly wins when: loss is advanced or the donor area is insufficient, you want an immediate and visually guaranteed result, you do not want surgery, or you want density a transplant cannot deliver. Many Capilium clients went through one or more failed transplants before choosing a system.
Important: the two are not mutually exclusive. Some clients wear a system while waiting for transplant results, or use a system for areas the transplant could not cover.
